Auditors who wish to perform GWO internal audits for a multi-site training provider must successfully complete the GWO Auditor Qualification Training (AQT), which is designed as an entry qualification course for new auditors. Criteria for acceptance into AQT will be either ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 internal auditor qualification or alternative training that includes audit skills and knowledge on how management systems must be audited
In order to maintain the GWO internal auditor qualification, auditors must undertake Auditor Development Training (ADT) within a 12-month period following completion of GWO Auditor Qualification Training (AQT).
Audit reports from internal auditors that have not documented conformance with the above requirements will not be accepted by the certification body.
The training provider will keep records of the internal auditors, and of the audits they have participated in for, at least, the validity period of the certificate plus three months.
GWO may withdraw the approval of an internal auditor following an investigation. This process will be instigated when GWO receives or uncovers evidence that the internal auditor is not complying with the applicable requirements. The final decision can be appealed by the training provider by further submission to the GWO Audit and Compliance Committee.
