Some GWO certificates require refresher training, others do not.
The following training standards require refresher training every two years in order for the certification to remain valid:
- Basic Safety Training
- Enhanced First Aid
- Advanced Rescue Training
Certificates for these standards must be refreshed before the end of their validity period.
If the certification is refreshed before the end of its validity period, the delegate will take the refresher version of the course.
If a certificate is allowed to expire, the full version of the course must be taken.
A certificate can be renewed up to two months prior to expiry, allowing you to maintain the original certification date. If a certificate is renewed more than two months before expiry it must carry the new date of certification.
