When must I renew my GWO training?

Some GWO modules require refresher training, others do not.

The following training standards require refresher training every two years in order for the certification to remain valid:

• Basic Safety Training
• Enhanced First Aid
• Advanced Rescue Training
• Control of Hazardous Energies

Certificates for these standards must be refreshed before the end of their validity period.

If the training is refreshed before the end of its validity period, you will take the refresher version of the course. 

If a training is allowed to expire, the full version of the course must be taken.

GWO training can be refreshed/renewed up to two months prior to expiry, allowing you to maintain the original certification date. If training is renewed more than two months before expiry it will carry the new date of certification.
