As per GWO's Requirements for Training, all Instructors must be registered to WINDA, including their qualified modules and most recent Instructor Qualification Assessment Form (IQAF in Annex 5 in the Requirements for Training v15) based on their annual assessment or new module qualification.
The Instructor Qualification Assessment Form is used for the annual assessment and qualification of new modules for instructors as per sections 8.2 and 8.3 in the GWO Requirements for Training. As of 1 October 2025, it is mandatory to use the GWO template for those assessments. However based on the schedule for assessments, every instructor might not have gone through an assessment using that form yet. Therefore, when registered an instructor to WINDA for the first time this year, the document section on WINDA can be left empty if it does not apply yet. When the instructor has their next annual assessment, then the form can be uploaded.
WINDA stores only one IQAF per instructor, therefore only the most recent assessment must be uploaded there. The other assessments should be maintained as part of the Quality Management System.
Only one module needs to be assessed each year for each instructor and that one assessment form is what should be updated on the instructor´s WINDA profile. If the instructor teaches many modules, the modules are required to be assessed in a sequential order. Therefore the same module should not be assessed using the IQAF form twice in a row or assessed again until all the modules have been witnessed.
If an instructor qualifies for a new module, that assessment form and date can be uploaded to WINDA in place of their annual assessment. In that case, the sequence for assessments must be amended.
